PTFE (Teflon) tape with many chairside uses. It is widely used to fill implant screw access channels before sealing with composite, so the screw can be reached again later, and to wrap adjacent teeth during etching and bonding so etchant and adhesive do not reach them.
The tape is thin, non-adhesive and stretchy, so it packs tightly into small spaces and peels away cleanly without leaving residue. It is also handy as a barrier when cementing veneers and crowns.
