Kerr Pulp Canal Sealer is a long-established zinc oxide eugenol root canal sealer based on Rickert's formula. It is used with gutta-percha points to seal the canal during obturation, filling small irregularities and the interface between the cones and the canal wall.
The powder and liquid are mixed to a smooth, creamy consistency and carried into the canal on a file, lentulo or the master cone. The sealer is radiopaque, so the fill is easy to evaluate on the post-op radiograph, and it suits lateral and warm vertical condensation techniques.
