Disposable clear barrier sleeves for digital x-ray sensors in the medium 1-5/8" x 8" size. Slide the sensor and part of its cable into the sleeve before placing it in the patient's mouth; the sleeve keeps saliva off the sensor and is thrown away afterwards.
Sensors cannot be autoclaved, so a fresh barrier for every patient is the simplest way to protect an expensive sensor and prevent cross-contamination. The thin clear plastic does not affect the image.
