Wooden interdental wedges that adapt the matrix band to the gingival margin and give slight tooth separation during Class II restorations. The wood absorbs moisture and swells a little once seated, tightening the marginal seal.
The yellow 16 mm wedge is a large size, for wider embrasures between molars. Insert from the lingual or buccal side, tight against the band, then restore and remove.
