Wooden interdental wedges that adapt the matrix band to the gingival margin and give slight tooth separation during Class II restorations. The wood absorbs moisture and swells a little once seated, tightening the marginal seal.
The orange 13 mm wedge is the small size, for tight embrasures, premolars and primary teeth. Insert from the lingual or buccal side, tight against the band, then restore and remove.
